Today is “Take your Child to the Library Day” – so if you haven’t taken your child to the library recently, please do so. You may be surprised by the number of free books to read.
Gayle Danley and Shelley Puhak read poems on themes from the play “Mary Stuart”. The event will be at the Folger Shakespeare Library – Elizabethan Theatre from 6: 00 to 7:00 p.m. tonight! It will be hosted by Teri Cross Davis. Admission is free.

New York Times bestselling author Stephen Mansfield discusses his latest book, The Miracle of the Kurds: A Remarkable Story of Hope Reborn in Northern Iraq. This free event will be at the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library in Falls Church, VA, on today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Mansfield has written several biographies, including Booker T. Washington, Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln. His latest book will be available for sale and signing.

Graphic novelist George O’Connor unveils Ares, the latest in his popular Olympians series at the Takoma Park Library, Maryland, on February 5th from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Mr. O’Connor also will do a drawing demonstration. He has published several children’s picture book and is a New York Times best-selling writer. Politics & Prose Bookstore will be selling his books at the event, but the program is free and no purchase is required to attend.
