This just in – The O.B. Hardison Poetry Series and Split This Rock are co-sponsoring this year’s free poetry reading in honor of the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. On Monday, January 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a diverse group of poets will respond to the question of ” Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?” King used this question as the title to his fourth and final book.
The poetry reading will be followed by an open-mic.
Special note: In the spirit of the day, food donations will be taken for the food pantry of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation (which is right across from the Folger Shakespeare Library.
The event will be held at the Haskell Center, 301 East Captiol Street SE, Washington, D.C. 20003.
