Martin Luther King Jr. Poetry Reading

The O.B. Hardison Poetry Series and Split This Rock are co-sponsoring this year’s free poetry reading in honor of the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. On Monday, January 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a diverse group of poets will respond to the question of ” Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?” King used this question as the title to his fourth and final book.

The poetry reading will be followed by an open-mic.

Special note: In the spirit of the day, food donations will be taken for the food pantry of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation (which is right across from the Folger Shakespeare Library.
